Sales Representative
Location: Cape Town-based (Remote, with regional travel)

Our client is a leading provider in the injury-on-duty (IOD) claims management industry, with nearly two decades of proven success. Leveraging innovative technology, they have developed a proprietary, fully paperless, real-time web-based system that connects employees, employers, medical service providers, and the Compensation Fund seamlessly.

As the company expands its service offering, it is looking to appoint a Sales Representative based in Cape Town to promote and sell its range of pre-funding and administrative solutions to medical service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales & Marketing
  • Build awareness of the company's products and services in the market.
  • Proactively market the full range of offerings to potential clients in line with company strategy.
  • Effectively follow up with leads and support clients through their decision-making process.
  • Achieve weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets.
  1. Client Relationship Management
  • Maintain regular contact with existing clients as per set visitation schedules.
  • Provide clients with relevant information and ongoing support.
  • Act as a communication bridge between clients and internal teams.
  • Monitor client satisfaction, practice developments, and competitor activity.
  • Identify risks and opportunities within client practices.
  1. Reporting & Administration
  • Submit accurate weekly sales reports and monthly expense reports.
  • Share weekly planners and diaries with internal teams.
  • Ensure client contracts and documentation are completed and submitted correctly.
  • Keep detailed records of appointments, client feedback, and documentation sent for processing.
  • Maintain close collaboration with the inbound sales team and claims administration staff.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in external (field) sales, preferably in medical or financial services.
  • Proven ability to market and sell financial products or services.
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Self-driven, deadline-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (intermediate level).

 

Qualifications & Additional Requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent (essential).
  • Tertiary qualification in Sales or Marketing (advantageous).
  • Valid, unendorsed Code 8 South African driver’s license.
  • Must be Cape Town-based and able to travel extensively within Cape Town, surrounding areas, and parts of the Garden Route monthly.
  • Must be able to work from a home office setup.
